The Directors of Masterpower, a leading supplier of critical power protection solutions in the UK focused on the petrochemical and power generation sectors, are pleased to announce the sale of Masterpower to Chloride Group Plc.

The sale took place on the 2nd March 2007 and will consolidate Masterpower’s position as a leading supplier of secure power and power electronic solutions.

Formed in 1991, Masterpower employs over 90 people across the UK. Headquartered in Aberdeen, Masterpower provides engineering, product manufacture and customer support through a branch network which includes locations in the North East of Scotland, Central Scotland, North East England and the Midlands.

The sale boosts the joint capabilities of Masterpower and Chloride, greatly increasing the potential for growth. It also gives Masterpower’s client base the existing benefits of responsiveness and flexibility with the added value of increased product range, technical services and geographic reach.

Masterpower will continue to be run by the existing management team as a stand-alone operational unit, with the company name, personnel and locations remaining as they are at present.
